How patient are you?

Patience is the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without acting on annoyance/anger in a negative way; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties.

Patience is the level of endurance one's character can take before negativity. It is also used to refer to the character trait of being steadfast. Antonyms include hastiness and impetuousness.

Patience is a state of endurance under difficult conditions. Patient people have the ability to persevere in the face of delay, inconvenience or provocation without becoming annoyed or upset and to exhibit forbearance when under strain, especially in the face of longer-term difficulties.

This character trait is also referred to as steadfastness or persistence. Antonyms of patient include hasty, impetuous, irritated and intolerant.

It has never been easy to be patient, but it's probably even harder now than at any time in history.

In a world where messages can be sent across the world instantly, seemingly everything is available with a few clicks of the mouse, and a swift movement of your thumbs can take you into a fantasy game world, it's very hard not to expect instant satisfaction.

But patience remains a valuable tool in life. We don't always get instant gratification, and some of the best things in life require years of hard work and waiting.

Fortunately, patience is a virtue that can be cultivated and nurtured. It does take time to fulfill this goal, but once this has grown into an ordinary skill for you, you certainly won't be disappointed at what life can offer you with some spare time. You will be surprised by how boring, restless, and lagging hours can evolve into a passing time of relaxation and peace of mind.

The Importance of Patience

Patience is a virtue. With that four word sentence being said, you cannot imagine how many individuals a day do not follow by that virtue, and keep that deep into their mind. Patience, the matter of waiting for something to come to you, in the case we are describing here. When creating your board, you want it to become a hit, you want it to gain traffic like no other, you want their to be much quality content and activity all at the same time, correct? In order for this to come to you, you must learn the importance of patience, and using your time wisely.

In this article I will explain to you the very basic importance of being patient, and using your time wisely when it comes to managing and maintaining your board, along with the "I want it now!" rule, which I will try to explain and expand on as my very own rule.

When creating a board what do you have in mind? I want to make this board a hit! I want to let everyone know about it! I want it to have the traffic, and activity I desire like no other. Sitting there thinking to yourself these aspects may encourage yourself even more, and make yourself feel very happy and confident that your board will become just what you desire. Feeling this way about your board, ecspecially the confidentiality is great! Not only will you be more inspired to make your board even better than before, but you will feel very confident that everything you desire will come to you.

Once you have launched your board, you may want to gain all what you've desired from the hard work you have put into creating it. Unfortunately, some of these things do not come instantly, this is where patience comes into mind. If you wish to gain hundreds or even thousands of visitors, on top of that, batch loads of quality content posted on your board each day you will need to learn the importance of patience, as this is something that does not instantly come along, you must earn it.

You want the traffic, you want the dedicated members, you want the quality content, you want the originality, you want to be different than others, following that is what you truly desire for your board. You want it NOW! Don't we all want this for our board? Yes, we do. We want to gain as much popularity as possible, we'll all have to gain this. In the mean time of the long, or perhaps short period of time you have to wait for this to come to you, you should be using your time wisely to gain what you truly desire. Some examples of using your time wisely can be found below.

  • Making your board an even more enjoyable and comfortable place to venture; give your visitors a reason to stay with you, and bring to them an even more enjoyable and comfortable place to stay, with what you have offer. Noticeable welcome messages, polite and respectful staff, quality content, entertainment, and attraction are some examples of making your board an even more enjoyable and comfortable place to venture.
  • Being different and gaining more originality; bring to your board some difference and originality from other boards, as this is what many are looking for. Viewing the same discussions, and content may distract user's more than make them want to stay. Being different is a key to forum success, being the same as others just leads to further redundancy.
  • Increase your search engine ranking; this is the perfect time to let people know about you! In the meantime get into some various SEO projects and use the various SEO Methods you have available to increase your search engine ranking, which may eventually increase your board's traffic.
  • Bringing to your board good, quality content; on top of increasing your search engine ranking, which is what most search engines feed from, content. This is the perfect time for you and your staff (if you have any) to bring to your board good, quality content. Foremost, show off some your work, this is what may be good to start out with, some of your work that relates to your boards theme, this gives your visitors a chance to know what you have in store for them.

Using your time wisely, and following by it with patience is just the success you need to creating a successful forum, with a great community full of interests and anticipation. You may not gain what you want instantly, but eventually, once you really put your mind into it you just may; for the exact reason why patience is a virtue.

In each of the following choose from a scale of 1–5 which of these statements you most agree with or is most applicable to you.

Choose just one of the numbers 1–5 in each of the 25 statements.

Choose 5 for most agree/most applicable, down to 1 for
