"The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:" Numbers 6:24
Amazing things can happen when saints of God come into agreement. Jesus said, "If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Mathew 18:19-20
And as you submit your prayer request, I want you to remember His glorious promise: "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it." John 14:13-14
Please also take the time to pray for the needs of others that have been sent in. For the scripture also tells us: "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16. So as you pray for the needs of another, God will touch you too.
Being strong is not only about mass and brute force it is often the mental strength we need to be able to believe in ourselves and to believe in those around us to make a difference in this world. With mental and physical strength combined we can break down those barriers we face in life and accomplish great things for all of mankind.
Perhaps you or someone in your family is facing a medical crisis, or a less than positive diagnosis. People facing medically trying times, such as cancer, Alzheimer’s, AIDS, or any other life altering disease will find comfort in the power of prayer. Miracles happen every day that medical professionals simply cannot explain, and many people attribute these miracles to the power of prayer and positive thinking. Mental strength will allow you to overcome any and all of your inhibitions in life and move on to great things. By welcoming prayer into your life you will find that you have the strength you need to ask for help, a cure, or to help those in need around us and to find the courage to believe in yourself, to realize that together you and God can achieve great things.
With a simple prayer you can start a journey to find your inner strength and hope, the hope and strength that will allow you to be the person you have always wanted to be, the person who can make a difference.
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’”
Isa 41:10-13
As human beings, we all commit sins. Luckily, by the grace of God, we can be forgiven for our sins. We also commit acts against other human beings that we end up regretting. Have you ever said something mean to someone only to instantly regret it just moments later? Have you been disrespectful to your parents or told a white lie? These are all things that God does not like, they are sins and you must seek forgiveness. One of the best ways to seek forgiveness for yourself or if you seek to forgive other people is through prayer.
Have you been wronged by someone? Do you carry malice and anger filled thoughts towards another human being? Keeping this energy inside of you is not what God wants, he wants you to forgive. By the grace of His mercy, we can forgive and be forgiven. Through the power of prayer, we can lift His name and be released of our sin. Prayer doesn’t take a great deal of time, it simply takes the desire to have your heartfelt message heard by God.
God loves us no matter what, but He does expect us to be responsible for our mistakes and own up to them. By talking to God through prayer, you let Him know that you accept your mistakes, and accept His mercy, and that you will do better in the future. The gift of prayer provides relief to the weary soul. It fills dark places with light and hope. This perfect peace is a relief to the forgiver and the forgiven.
There are many different ways that we as humans can be sick. We can suffer from physical ailments, spiritual ailments and emotional ailments. Some things can be cured by medical science, while others can only be cured by faith. The power of prayer can heal people of whichever type of sickness they suffer from. Prayer supports medial science and the faith that people have in their beliefs will give them a comfort while they are ill or infirm. This faith supports people in more ways than we can imagine, and the many documented cases of unexplained cures bears that fact out.
Physical ailments can include diseases such as cancer and other horrific things that afflict the body. Use prayer to combat these dangerous diseases. Are you or a loved one suffering from an emotional ailment, such as depression, bi-polar or even alcoholism and drug addiction? These afflictions can be cured by God’s all-powerful grace. He can remove the need and want to drink and use drugs, He can heal the people with sick minds and He can heal those that are under spiritual attack as well. The unsavory things in our world like to attack the spiritual weak and the spiritually strong and can try a person’s faith. Show God that you have a true belief and faith in Him and he will reward that faith. Speak to God through prayer, and let your voice be heard.
Is your relationship in trouble? Has your loved one left? Is your marriage on the rocks? You value the relationship that you have with your husband or wife, you honor and respect the vows that you took in front of God and witnesses. Despite the best of intentions, there are times when even the most perfect looking relationship has problems. It is common for a member of the relationship to run-away from those problems by trying to leave the relationship and the home. Do not despair, there is hope, you just need to have faith.
Prayer can repair the most damaged relationship. The power of God can bring two people, who are intended to be together, back into a love filled marriage. Your union will know the love from the blessings of God. Through prayer, anything is possible. God is all-powerful and all knowing, he can mend any bridges that may have burned, clear away the confusion and give you the power to forgive.
If your relationship is in need of a blessing and you have nowhere to turn, consider prayer. God is always there to listen, and his followers on earth are always ready to assist in having your prayers heard.
Our children are the most precious things on this earth; we care for them, tend to their needs and watch them grow up into well respected, honest and trustworthy people. Children are the future and as parents it is our duty to provide them with as much of a chance to succeed with the goals and aspirations in their life as we possibly can. Our children often face many challenges along the road to success with all the pressures of society; from academic related studies to the pressures of fitting in with new social groups at high school.
As parents we often worry about our children while they work through these challenges and more often than not we would like to help them through these problems. Whether through a more immediate and direct approach such as directly helping to relieve the hardship for your beloved child or often a subtle caring prayer, either can do so much for our children to help them through any trying times.
With prayer you can be sure that your child will have the protection and guidance they need for a successful start to their aspirations. Because of prayer you can relax in the knowledge that you are giving your children everything they deserve.
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
III John 2
Feeling protected and safe is key to feeling confident and secure in yourself and your surroundings. Wanting to find protection is not a sign of weakness as some may fear, it is a way of finding hope in ourselves. By allowing yourself to be protected even you will provide yourself with the opportunity to grow strong and wise and be able to protect yourself and others.
You can find the sanctity of protection by praying to God about those things you need shelter from and only through prayer will you find that shield of enlightenment to protect you. By bringing prayer into your life you will once again be able to cope through these struggles and become the person you were before.
“But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil.”
II Thessalonians 3:3
We often try to live in harmony and treat all of those around us in the manner that we ourselves would want to be treated and attempt good and honorable deeds as often as we can. Even though you go to great lengths to bring peace around you it is still possible for us to live in turmoil at times and struggle to not only find peace within ourselves but also all around us. Whether we are struggling to find peace at our workplace or in the neighborhood or possibly with our friends and family it still affects us the same regardless of the situation, the fact that we can’t find peace around us often leads to not being able to find a peace with our inner selves.
Not finding peace is troublesome at the least but with prayer we can ask for guidance to help us resolve the issues that are preventing us from finding that crucial element that allows us to live our lives in the peaceful manner that we have been searching for. Through prayer we can discover the causes of the problems that cause the strife, confusion and unhappiness in our daily lives. By discovering those causes we can eventually find that peace we all deserve as one of God’s most beautiful creations.
Because of the power of prayer you will be able to beat those demons around us that prevent us, our families, and friends from finding peace within ourselves and within our lives. By facing those demons through prayer we will become stronger because of our commitment to peace.
Take the opportunity now to find that peace you deserve and have a prayer said to help not only find peace for yourself, but those around us. To be at peace with ourselves will help us provide peace to others.
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. “
Isaiah 12:2
Financial hardships cause a great deal of stress among individuals and their families. Are you in need of money? Could your business use a boost? Would a raise at your job increase your sense of financial security? Is your house payment late? Are you just getting by each month? All of these questions run through a person’s mind continuously when they are under financial constraints. While prayer will not deposit money into your bank account directly, prayer will allow you the calm and peace needed to assess and find a solution to your problem.
The power of prayer come from the power of an all knowing, all seeing, all loving God. By praying to Him, your concerns and fears will have a place to reside, allowing you to focus on the earthly issues at hand. By offering up your concerns and sharing them with God, you ask for guidance, and while that guidance might not come in written form with detailed instructions, the prayers will allow you to clear your brain and begin to problem solve clearly. A heavy financial burden is not something that God wants us to bear; we need to drop the heavy rock that is money troubles and give it to God. Only through prayer can you find your true reward.
Your hard work will pay off, you will reap the benefits of being secure with money to cover the bills and provide for your loved ones. Imagine the sense of relief you will experience when you can pay off each bill every month. See yourself in a higher paid position at work. These are things that can come true, with the power of prayer.
In these rough economic times it is easy to lose hope if you have lost your job. It’s not the best time to go searching for new employment anywhere in the world. There will be times when you wish you could get a new client, a project or a call back from the companies where you submitted your resume, and know that everything would work out. It’s sometimes hard to have faith when things are not going as well as you had expected. More than likely you are spending so much of your time and energy focusing on your employment issues that forget that can always turn to God in times of need.
God wants to hear our prayers. He wants to see His children succeed on the earth that He created for us. The power of prayer is unable to be measured, as Gods power, wisdom and benevolence have no boundaries. Saying prayers specifically for your employment gains can range from the very specific to vague.
You can have prayers said for you that directly speak to a particular position that you would like to be hired for, a client that you would like to have or a project that you know you would do an amazing job and meet all of the goals. Perhaps you are nervous about an interview or a pre-employment test, if that is the case you can have a prayer said that will ease your mind and bring you the peace and serenity that you need to shine at your interview. The power of prayer will be welcomed during your employment ventures, as it allows you to be centered and focus on the task at hand.
Do you have a big test coming up? Do you have children in school that experience trouble studying or aren’t bringing home great grades? Perhaps you have older children that are in college. Or perhaps you yourself are in school attempting that master’s degree. People that are in school experience all types of different things and they have a high level of stress put on them to perform well. Besides preparing for the test, prayer is the answer for success in the area of studies. Prayer allows you to calm your mind and remove yourself from a stressful situation, if only for a few moments.
Many students feel that they do not have the time to pray, and it is during college days that many students lose their way when it comes to the church, though most do find their way back. This is unfortunate because the benefits of prayer can be so helpful to all students. The peace that prayer allows will give students the ability to focus and succeed.
Using prayer is a great way to add to the success rate of your students. What a confidence boost for your child to know that God is on his or her side when they enter the testing room. Are you considering going back to school and you have to take a college entrance exam? Have a prayer said for yourself, a candle lit to ensure your success on your test day. God wants you to succeed in your educational endeavors. Praying to Him will open the door for a great grade or score on your next exam or paper.
